The definition of covering and blending. The monthly visit to the salon for sparkle coverers seems to be daunting but you always leave covered. The grey word seems to haunt the mirror on a daily bases. A quick check in the interior mirror of your car, a quick pull here and there and before you no it here's your 24-hour reminder for your root touch and ruff dry. But over the weeks as I build my client base I find my clients are struggling. !!! My clients seem to be shouting inside their minds (What the fuck do I do next.) DO I COVER / DO I BLEND Let us just stop and think for a second do you actually no the difference between the tow? I am just going to say you all understand the words, but do you really understand what each term does. So here's a quick lesson on how you can explain to your Hairdresser, Stylist, Colourist it is so very important to explain as we can only do so much with your explanation. 1. SparklesAre you ready for the maintenance ? If you are just about to take action on the sparkle and if you have not guessed yet sparkles are Greys or Grays (LOL) If action needs to take place don't run to the local supermarket to grab that box dye even if you can/cant afford it STOP!!! 1. Don't rush into it think about it. Do you really want to cover the bathroom, in splats and dots and not being able to reach the back of your head thinking you have done a good job but knowing the £10.00 you have just spent was chaos? Go to the salon and have a consultation as I have said before its Free and the KEY... 2. Covering or CoverageCovering well it's just like painting a wall. How well you paint over the cracks is technic and it doesn't matter how many tutorial you watch but a couple of weeks and the paint out again. It's covering at the end of the day it is permanent and temporary. Wash on wash off, Spray in spray over, Comb in comb out it's temporary so as long as your willing to maintain them sparkles cover away. 3. Blending or CamouflageSo if you think that covering is too harsh and you hate the dreaded skunk line then blending should be your next step think about going lighter or highlighting the root area a T-section could be just the thing. it may take a couple of attempts to blend but it can be very effective and affordable without destroying the bathroom suite. Remember that covering the sparkle is easy when you know what you want to explain and make sure your set with your decisions as it is hard to fix if the explanation is wrong. #hair #colour #greyhair #gray #instagram #facebook #twitter #blogger #blog Other options and a great top tip.A top tip would be skin test get a 48-hour skin test.
