The Natural Nettle Hair Tonic![]() This week I have been focusing on how to strengthen your lush locks and after reading many weird and wonderful products I have settled for the nettles.......... The power of nettles have been used for decades from teas to creams. Nettles have been infused for the use of it amazing properties. Nettles are commonly known as stinging nettles painful buggers but when correctly used they generate amazing results. one of the best ways to use these stinger is to boil in white wine vinegar and water harvest the juices add some essential oil which creates a Natural Nettle Hair Tonic. That can be directly applied to scalp and Hair this will stimulate the scalp promoting hair growth. Not only that nettles have the natural ability to strengthen the Hair follicles. Over time your hair will feel thicker and stronger. The Geeky Bit to Nettles![]() Why........ I have been asking the same question for a while now. Nettles are packed with Vitamins such as Vitamin C which we all no helps get rid of a cold but this vitamin is one of the most effective nutrients to help grow and strengthen Hair. Vitamin B its best use is to condition the Hair as well as protecting the skin on your scalp. Nettles also hides a small level of vitamin K which is commonly used for clotting blood. This vitamin is known as the forgotten vitamin as its powers are over looked. But Its important for Hair as it helps to repair scalp from abrasion's meaning that it helps to repair Hair straight from the root. Nettles are also high In omega 3 acids , Iron and calcium. These key parts help with the Anagen process this is what makes our hair grow in a cycle which can not be rushed or slowed. How ever Nettles have a hidden weapon it can help block high levels of testosterone which is called DHT which shrinks the hair follicles meaning the Anagen is reduced leading to hair loss. Nettles have the power to reduce and block this process. Amazing !!! I must also add if you are pregnant or are currently on any blood thinning agents then give this one a miss. ![]() I hope I have not blown your brain up. Let me just say I am a Hairdresser not a Scientist or Professor. Just some information that hopefully you may use one day. I have added a tutorial below to help you create your own Natural Nettle Hair Tonic. Enjoy and remember to wear gloves :). Comments are closed.
